TRIP ITINERARY
Day 1: Kigali - Bwindi Forest
Our guide will pick you from Kigali International Airport or your hotel in Kigali. If pickup is in the morning hours, take a brief Kigali City Tour - Visit the Gisozi Genocide Memorial Site. Have Lunch in Kigali. Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Katuna Border. Dinner and Overnight at Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge (Luxury) / Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge (Midrange) / Gorilla Mist Camp (Budget)
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Wake up Early in the morning. Have breakfast. The guide will drive you the gorilla trekking outpost. Get briefed by the UWA tour guides about the dos and don'ts of gorilla tracking. Led by the UWA Ranger guide, hike into the forest in search of the endangered mountain gorillas. The duration of the hike largely depends on the movement of the gorillas! To find the gorillas, It can take from a mere 30 minutes walk to 8 hours of hiking within the impenetrable forest. Upon meeting the mountain gorillas, you have up to 1 hour to take photographs and learn about these apes. In the afternoon, go for the Batwa Cultural Experience or take a Nature Walk around the Local Communities that live adjacent to the Bwindi Forest.
Day 3: Return to Kigali
After breakfast, embark on a return trip to Kigali. Take a Kigali City Tour if you missed it on the first day. Drop off at the airport or your hotel in Kigali.
